Perth Safe Pet is a calm, humane space for people who love their pets and need a better way to rehome them — without the noise, anonymity, and churn of open classifieds. The animal's welfare is the point, not the transaction.
We don't actively sell animals. Rehoming and fair, transparent exchange happen here — backed by a genuinely tamper-evident handover record system: every agreement is sealed, signed, and independently verifiable. We can't be there for the handover itself, but we've put serious thought into paperwork that protects the animal and both people. Outside of that, the rest is human decency.

Accountable accounts
Stripe Identity verification is planned as accounts open, so no one stays anonymous. For now, today's pets are courtesy listings from trusted local rescues and carers, shown honestly as self-declared until identity checks go live.
Respectful chat
A calm, structured space to talk things through. Ask, pause, decline, or report — always on your terms. Structured messaging is on the roadmap; today, enquiries route via email.
Vet record check
Vaccination, microchip, and desexing details are shown plainly on every listing as self-declared by the lister. Independent vet-record verification is planned.

Perth Safe Pet exists to protect animals, and no single platform can do that alone. We openly support every other rescue, shelter, and marketplace doing this work properly — and we recognise them, publicly, for it. This is a pact, not a rivalry.

Rescues, shelters, vets, and other marketplaces are always welcome to work with us. If we can share tools, knowledge, or a listing, we will.

When a real handover is sealed, the engine creates a signed, chained record that can be verified later without exposing private documents or storing ID files. The proof page sets out exactly what is signed, what can be independently verified, what stays self-declared, and what the certificate does not prove.

A fair marketplace for pet products and services
Independent pet-product makers, mobile groomers, pet sitters, trainers and local animal-care providers all have different costs and different ways of working. We don't set prices and we don't expect every seller to look the same — we ask that everyone prices with goodwill, because when buyers are treated fairly, more people come back and every honest seller benefits. Animal rehoming and pet sales are handled separately from this products-and-services marketplace.
5% Perth-locals discount (planned)
A 5% locals discount for Perth/WA buyers is on the roadmap. It will appear at checkout only once implemented in the payment logic — we won't describe it as automatic until it is.
Sellers from anywhere are welcome
You don't have to be local to sell — you just have to be fair. Sellers from outside WA list on the same terms.
Fair pricing, not the same pricing
We won't micromanage what you charge. We simply ask sellers to keep pricing steady and considerate when people are in a tight spot. Fair sellers tend to do better here.
The idea is simple: buyers are looked after, sellers are looked after, and nobody gets squeezed in the middle. If that sounds like how you already do business, you'll feel at home here.
